Elected November 2021 to a 4 year term. He and his wife, Patti, have 3 grown children, Jacob, Samantha and Daniel. DJ is a 1991 Graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Industrial Engineering Technology. A small business owner for the past 22 years, DJ and his wife have been the owner/operators of the Portage Inn for the past 17 years and also host guests in their Airbnb units above the Portage Inn. DJ and Patti are members of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa. DJ is also the cofounder of Catholic Fathers League (CFL) . He and other CFL fathers meet regularly for support, prayer, fellowship and community outreach projects for needy families throughout the surrounding communities.
